Many players spend the whole of the time that they play golf worrying about how to increase golf swing speed. This is an important part of the game, as you may be aware, because if you swing harder then you should be able to hit the ball harder. If you can do this without losing any accuracy, then you can get to the green more quickly and you should be able to finish the hole with a better score.

Obviously, if you can get a better score then you will not only feel better in yourself but you will have a chance of improving your handicap and beating the people that you are playing with. This can lead to you being able to enjoy the game a lot more, as well as you being able to achieve more while you are playing. It is so important to have a positive attitude when you are playing and to enjoy it as you will be more relaxed and should be able to get more out of the game.

If you think that you are capable of playing well, then you will have a positive attitude and should play well – it is all about getting into a positive frame of mind. It is supposed to fun after all! If you want to have a go at trying to increase golf swing speed then there are quite a few options for you. It is firstly important to make sure that your technique is correct and that if you hit the ball harder, that your technique will not be compromised and a less accurate shot being made.

The only way to really find this out is to practice. Try hitting the ball a little harder, if you can and see what result it has. You may of course find that it is not that easy to hit the ball harder. It may be necessary for you to increase your strength in order to achieve this.

There are workouts that you can do in order to achieve this, you can buy them on DVD or video and you can also find exercise guides on the Internet and in books, if you do not want to pay for them. These make sure that you strengthen and tone the muscles that you use when you play golf, mainly the ones that you use when you swing.

This means that you should be able to have the strength to hit harder and it will also improve your flexibility, meaning that you can more easily position yourself correctly to hit the ball properly. It is a good idea to have a go at one of these workouts, to see whether you get on with it and whether you think it will help to improve your game.

Just think at the potential results. If you do a workout a few times a week and increase golf swing speed you will be able to play a better game, enjoy it more and become fitter – three benefits in one!

Usually, before I make way to the golf course, I usually envision myself having an excellent round with not problems at all. It seems that I always forget that golf is a sport and prior to playing a round, It is absolutely essential that certain actions are taken before hand. Now, if you are anything like me, then you start off great until you make it to hole 3 or 4. Now all the sudden, I am fatigued, my back hurts, I cannot concentrate, etc… In this article, I would like to talk about specifically what we can do to make sure that the problem doesn’t persist time and time again. Let’s get started, shall we?

1.) Eat Some Food! There is a reason you cannot concentrate by time the 4th hole has come around. I’ve recently had the opportunity to play with several great guys and have some good chat time with them. I’ve noticed that they are also in agreement with me here. Make sure you consume an ideal breakfast. A good breakfast would consist of, eggs, oatmeal, fruit juice, etc. Something with proper carbohydrates in it. A great lunch would consist something like a turkey sandwich, lettuce, stuff like that. Remember, carbohydrates.

2.) Stretch – I used to show up 5 minutes before tee time and pull a muscle right off the bat. It was horrible. Try to show up 30 to 45 minutes before tee time and do actual stretches. (movement stretches, arm circles, partial squats, toe touches.) Hold each stretch for a minute each. You are not loosening anything up by stretch for 10 seconds at a time. After you have done your stretches, you will want to take some half swings. Feel good? Awesome. Make sure you stretch in between holes too. You will get tight on th course.

3.) Drink Water – Drink plenty of water before going to the course. You will want it in your system so you do not get dehydrated right off the bat. If at all possible, consume about a gallon of water. Remember, dehydration causes energy loss and takes the fun out of the game. Also, take water with you, in between every swing, drink some water.

4.) Bring Snacks – You will want these! Do NOT bring beer on the course as your snack. Instead, bring fruits or nutrition bars. You will want your body to stay balanced as it needs vitamins to hand out. If you experience a golf round blowing up in your face, this is more than likely why.

These are just four small tips that can help mold and shape your game. Take care of your body and it is amazing with the results you will see.

Golfers try to be perfect, but since no one even the pros are perfect, the endeavor is inherently futile. But, even the most diehard hack can become a better golfer.

One only has to remember the movie “Tin Cup” with Rene Russo and Kevin Costner to realize that people will turn to golf training aids when their swings become out of whack. Who can forget Rene wearing all those gizmos to correct her out-of-balance swing?

But, besides the wackiness of movies, there are some real golf training aids that can help most golfers either recover their old swings and improve their current game. Books, videos, DVDs and other visual aids will help some. Lessons with help others.

Still there is a need for some to use the latest laser putter, golf cage, 60-foot backyard mat or gyro driver. Golfer are constantly working on their long games, short games and medium range games.

For the long game, some will want to drive the ball as far as humanly possible. While some will turn up their noses as this gorilla approach, others see a practical value in this. For instance, conditioning yourself and getting the most of your swing in order to hit the ball over a long water hazard is invaluable.

Cutting short a dog leg with a monster drive can put you up a stroke on your nearest competition. Driving the green on a long par-3 can also be an advantage. There are many golf training aids that will help with the long drive including special clubs meant for conditioning the player.

For the short game around the greens, most golfers go by the adage of “drive for show and putt for dough” which simply means the person with the best putting game generally wins. Putting aids such as golfing mats, laser putters, artificial greens, and kickback holes have been helping golfers in the boardroom, office, home and backyard improve their games before they even step onto the course.

Books and videos from the pros, showing how they line up putts and anticipate the break of green are an invaluable tool to cutting down the strokes per hole. Some avid golfers even go so far as to construct a green in their backyards for the purpose of practice putting.

But, besides the long and short games, golfers also have to consider their medium games as well. This includes approach shots, chipping, bunkers and sand traps, avoiding other hazards and getting out of others. Monoculars, GPS systems and other golfing aids can help. But, there is nothing as good as training one’s own swing for the medium game that will help a golfer shave off strokes.

There are some systems that will tell a golfer whether or not the club face is open or closed or how the follow through is to help their swing and commit it to muscle memory. Most golfers use a more finesse swing on the approach shots than they do on drives.

So, finding aids that will help the repetition of chipping and approaching is necessary for those who want to be competitive. As in many sports, golfing is a series of small corrections one has to constantly make in order to be consistent.

And, consistency is what separates the good golfer from the mediocre one, time and again.

I remember it being about 32 degrees outside. It was about 7 a.m. and it was sleeting. My golfing partner and myself sat out on hole #1 getting stretched out and talking trash to each other like every typical Saturday morning. I spent the month before hand studying a program called Golf Swing Guru and I finally got my chance to own my buddy on the golf course. We finally get ready to tee off and I out drove my partner by 15 yards. I found myself on the green looking a 3 foot birdy attempt while my buddy was shooting for even par. To make a long story short, I ended up going 1 over on the hole and he made his par putt. The whole day shaped up to look much like that. It absolutely drove my crazy!!! What was I doing wrong that my partner wasn’t doing?

You guys can relate to me can’t you? All day long you are stroking the ball, hitting it straight, chipping like a champ … but you choke on the green. All the sudden, you hate the game of golf again huh? I know, I know. Walk through this quick checklist with me and let’s see if we can’t get your putting back together.

1.) Try to get the best angle on the green. I like to start by stepping 10 steps behind the ball, dropping to my knees, then visualizing the slope. After that, I will walk 5 steps behind the cup, and repeat.

2.) Remember, Father Time sways back and forth, he replicates his same action every time. You should also do this. Try to replicate what you see when a clock is rocking back in forth.

3.) Next, make sure you follow through with the ball.

4.) Keep your weight centered. (This is very important)

These are 4 basic ways that can help you with your putting. Make sure that you don’t always go to the range and work out hitting golf balls there. I know, it’s boring having to practice putting but that’s where you get better. I also enjoy practice my putting on some of the greens on the course when it’s slow.

A lot more goes into golf swing that just the swing of the arms. Your feet should be anchored to the ground

Some golfers feel that by lifting their front heel slightly from the ground their swing will be better. This may be as a result from playing other sports, such as baseball, where this movement is appropriate. However, in golf keeping both feet firmly planted is important. Your foot may roll inwards slightly and is perfectly acceptable.

You may have executed every part of your golf back swing correctly, ensuring that your posture is correct, your grip and your turn. However the following down swing can be impaired because you have used your shoulders instead of the lower part of your body to begin the movement.

Experienced golfers, veterans as well as beginners often overlook the importance of mastering an essential aspect of a golf swing called the address position. The basic factors that should be considered when performing a golf swing include the golfers grip on the club, his / her stance and the position of the ball. The mastering of one’s address position when performing a golf swing allows the carrying out of a better swing and this will result in better scores. This is thus one area that needs to be given a fair deal of attention by golfers.

A golfers set up in preparation to performing a golf stroke is referred to as his address position. Here, particular attention should be paid to the position of the golfer’s feet and hands and the position of the ball. One can learn a suitable address position as well as avoid making some mistakes by following these simple guidelines:

Professional golfers maintain balanced swings throughout the entire course. This is due to their mastery of address position. A golfer needs to keep a good posture and a robust foundation when he steps up to perform a golf swing. This will ensure good balance and allow the golfer to perform a strike with a square club face.

A golfer’s address position is the position he desires to be in when his / her club strikes the ball. In this position, the club face should be square with the golf ball.

The golfer’s body should be aligned with the target line when he / she addresses the ball. The shoulders and feet should be in line with the target. This can be visualized by picturing a view of you from the rear of the ball.

The golfer’s feet should be spaced by a shoulder’s width or a bit more. Balance is severely affected by having a stance that is much wider or narrower when taking an address position.

The following stances should be taken into account when hitting these different targets:1. Wedges. In this case, ensure the ball position is in the middle of your stance while setting up.

2. Drivers. This is only slightly different as the ball position is preferably located bordering on your foot’s tip.

3. Irons. Here, the ball varies among the following two positions. For short irons, the ball position should be approaching the center of your stance while it should be closer to the golfer’s foot when he is striking long irons.

The correct posture when assuming an address position should involve slightly bent knees. This gives good balance. Furthermore, the distance one has from the golf ball should facilitate adequate comfort. One should not be crowded or have to reach for the ball.

These teaching aids can also be used with other types of clubs, including the driver.

The rail swing trainer is a more complex form of golf swing tutoring help. This circular rail form of equipment outlines the swing path which you must follow. You must step inside it and allow your club to follow the rail, so that you learn what an accurate swing plane looks like.

Flexibility and strength play a vital role in a good golf swing. One of the training aids used is a weight that can be added on to the golf iron shaft, which improves your flexibility and strength. This is a very simple training kit that can be used during warm up sessions before a game of golf.

Continue doing this until you have enough balance to keep the coin in its place throughout the swing.
